The Arrhythmias Big Band has been playing at venues all over the North Country since 1977, when it was originally formed under
the direction of Dr. Fred Taylor. The Band's "coronary" name derives from the presence of many medical personnel in and among
the well over 140 area musicians who have performed with the group over the years.

This 15-20 piece orchestra is a non-profit organization that performs "Swing Era" popular music in the style of such bands as
Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and others. The group has been featured in various North Country
community concert series, benefit dances, and fund raisers, and also regularly rehearses and performs at area nursing homes and
public housing units for the entertainment of the residents. Among the area groups and functions for whom The Arrhythmias have
played for are:
Cape Vincent Arts Council
Clayton Chamber of Commerce Concert Series
Hospice of Northern NY
Carthage Twin Village Festival of the Arts
Jefferson County Medical Auxiliary Scholarship Fund
Dexter Riverfest
Thousand Islands Antique Boat Museum
Kiwanis benefits for the Children's Miracle Network
Watertown Mayor's Ball
Carthage & Watertown Elks Lodges
Alexandria Bay Summer Chamber of Commerce Concert Series.

The Arrhythmias is an entirely voluntary group. Any North Country residents with experience in playing jazz or swing music, and
who are willing to make a commitment to a rehearsal and performance schedule, are welcome to join.
