| An Open Invitation is extended to all artists who wish to show their artwork. Entry application may be made as follows: Adult, 18 and over, unlimited number of entries. Categories are: Painting (oil, water color, acrylic) Drawing (pencil, pen& ink, pastel) Mixed media Sculpture Photography Recognition will be awarded as follows: Catherine Common Johnson Award for Excellence: Best of Show: $250.00 All Categories: First Place: $100.00 Second Place: $50.00 Third Place: $25.00 SPECIFICS FOR ENTRY: ALL WORK MUST HAVE BEEN PRODUCED IN THE PAST THREE (3) YEARS. GRAPHICS: All graphic pieces must be dry and suitably framed with eye hooks and wire hangers. Any other form of hanger will be rejected. There is no specific size restriction. If there are larger pieces that an artist wishes to enter in the show, we do have a lot of wall space to work with and welcome larger pieces. However we need to have contact from the exhibitor ahead of time to be able to approximate the display set up. Please keep in mind our display space, though large, is finite and larger pieces may be limited in their number. SCULPTURE: Sculpture presentation size will be limited to 10' X 10' floor space. Height is no problem for display. Outside access is directly to the show room. Anything over 40 lbs. must be set up by the sculptor. Any sculpture entry that is displayed by hanging on a wall must include the square footage needed with the entry form with a notation of SCULPTURE WALL DISPLAY. PEDESTALS: We have a limited number available. If the sculptor has pedestal display to fit their work, we ask that they bring it. IF ONE IS NEEDED, PLEASE NOTE SIZE ON ENTRY FORM. ENTRY FEE: Current Guild Members: $5.00 per entry Open Entries: $25.00/first 2 entries, $5.00/each for additional entries Membership in the North Country Artists' Guild is $25.00 per year. The exhibition is open to all media including painting, pastels, watercolor, collage, graphics, drawing, mixed media, pottery, wood art in frames, sculpture (free standing or wall display in any media e.g. wood, metal, etc.), photography, stained glass, fiber art. No computer graphics. No kits. No Crafts. No entry deliveries will be accepted after 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 2, 2006. JUDGING: Judges will view the show from 9-12 on May 3, 2006. PICK UP: 10 - 4 on Monday, May 8, 2006. SECURITY: 24 HOUR SECURITY WILL BE PROVIDED. INSURANCE: The normal show insurance will be provided by the NCAG, but individual insurance for each piece against damage or theft is the responsibility of the artist. EVENT ACTIVITIES Parallel events happening at the Dulles State Office Building during the 2006 NCAG Spring Show include Friday and Saturday night receptions from 6 to 8 with the music provided by local musicians.
