We’re happy to announce that Dana Gillan (Kelly) has joined the NCAC team as our Gallery Coordinator. Dana began her journey with the arts through dance and theater as a young child, but her focus on visual arts intensified a few years ago when she started painting with acrylics, and more recently, drawing. This new connection to art and creativity was born in a very sacred and transformative place in her journey. When a friend invited her to a paint class on a whim, an ember ignited. And so, in the midst of many life changes, slipping out to the easel on a sleepless night, or with the sunrise, became a healing balm to the soul.
Since then, she’s had paintings selected to hang in the 69th, 70th, and 71st Annual NCAC Fall Art Shows, as well as for the NCAC’s “6×6” display. She was September 2018’s featured artist for the North Country Arts Council, at the Jefferson County Historical Society Museum, with her first solo art show.
Now, you can find her directing “The Faeried Treasure Trove“, a shop on ETSY (which sells art prints, and various other whimsical items), gardening, learning to expand her artistic horizons with basic woodworking, homeschooling her children, and creating new art in her home studio every chance she gets.
